V.S. is a blend of eaux-de-vie distilled from the white wines produced in the two main wine areas of the Appellation Contrôlée: Bas-Armagnac and Tenarèze. The region of Bas-Armagnac having a sandy type of soil, the spirits distilled fron wine coming from this area are lighter with more finesse.
